Kyle's career began in 2004 at the Hyannisport Club, while also volunteering for the Cape Cod Baseball League. Kyle went to Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, studying abroad in Limerick, Ireland. Transferring to UMass-Amherst in the Stockbridge School, he graduated with an Associates Degree in Turfgrass Management, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Plant, Soil, and Insect Sciences.
He performed internships at The Country Club in Brookline, and Pine Valley Golf Club. He then worked down-under at New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney, Australia. He returned stateside to senior roles in the mid-Atlantic region. He ultimately became the grounds superintendent of one of America's oldest lawn tennis clubs and Class A GCSAA member. Kyle was recently a speaker at the New England Regional Turf Conference.
Bringing over 21 seasons of experience that spans dramatically different regions of the world and across the realms of golf and sports turf, he hopes the insights and advising from the highest levels of turfgrass maintenance can help the next wave of interested turf professionals stay in control of their successes, travels, and lives.

A mix of the common and unique provides an idea of the variety of grounds department responsibilities found at clubs and businesses around the world. His input and network are here for those who want access to everything "turf" from behind-the-scenes strategies of major event hosts, to the curiosities of those looking to enter the industry. Tyler promotes community and conversation with superintendents, assistants and interns, in addition to consultants, architects, contractors, university professors and more. His goal is to help you become immersed in the turf world if you have had limited access to positive mentors or a professional network.
